Philosophy of Therapeutic Change

I know. I get it. I hear you. Who has time for all of this? You can't be a good plant parent, fur parent, parent-parent or human when it's all going down at once. And you feel responsible for it all. I mean, how else will it all get done? No one else is jumping up and volunteering. Now maybe you're feeling burnt out at work, not able to find as much time for your friendships (those are getting harder and harder to maintain), and before you know it, you're in survival mode going from day to day. Let's get you ahead of the game again. Walking back on top of the storm instead of swept up by it. Don't lower your Standards. 

At Three Rivers Psychological Associates, LLC, the goal is to bridge relational rifts that have formed or broken over time by Connecting, Building, and Achieving your personal goals. 

 

Damage may be due to inconsistent or ineffective communication patterns, daily struggles that put strain on relationships, or mental or physical health issues that make it difficult to maintain important relationships. 

 

I want to help empower you to achieve your own personal goals and learn how to manage current and future struggles despite your changing environment. Together, we will take steps to help you feel in control of your life again! We will set goals to reduce your symptoms and work towards improving your relationships!

     Psychological issues and stress can make it difficult to keep up with daily life such as work, relationships (partner, children, friends, parents), or simply managing household duties.

     During these times, we could use additional support in rebuilding relationships or learning new coping skills.

     Dr. Leonard works with clients to strengthen support systems by examining interpersonal communication styles, strengthening healthy interactional patterns, and developing coping skills to manage mental health issues.
